Gambling Addiction Roughly 60% of Americans gamble during a given year and 85% during their lifetime. Problem gamblers tend to risk their money on whatever game is available, but with a preference for fast paced gambling. So most would prefer blackjack, poker, slots or casino games over slower paced games like Keno and the lottery. Gam-Anon
Gam-Anon is a 12 Step, self-help program for the family members, friends and loved ones of compulsive gamblers who have been affected by the gambling problem. Through meetings and literature, members share their experiences dealing with these problems, and problem solving suggestions based upon these experiences are given. Gam-Anon is available to anyone affected by a compulsive gambler, whether or not the gambler seeks help to stop gambling.
